Over 10 weeks, you'll join a small cohort of scholars via Zoom who are ready to move from good intentions to real progress.
Yes, you'll learn new strategies and be reminded of proven practices through the video lectures and course materials, but the real difference-maker is the structured implementation with built-in accountability and support.
Here's How We'll Work Together:
6 Group Coaching Sessions alternating with 4 Co-Writing Sessions
Once you register for the course, I’ll send out a calendar link for you to indicate your availability to meet.

“Flourish offers a structured form of community support that is immensely valuable for early career scholars. Whether you’re at a “publish-or-perish” institution or a teaching college, Jenn and the other members of your cohort will provide compassionate and informed guidance on managing your writing that is attentive to the specificities of your context.
I especially appreciated how Jenn not only recognizes the ways current events can impact our capacity to show up for our research and writing, but also models through the curriculum how one might determine a sustainable path forward–not just as an academic, but as a whole person.”
Erin Yanota, PhD, Flourish Momentum Track Participant
Assistant Professor, University of Virginia’s College at Wise
When we meet for group coaching, we discuss the assignments and problem-solve together to help support you in implementation.
Between sessions, you'll complete 5 strategic assignments that reflect the course content and help you apply it to your own writing projects and practice.
Assignment 1: Identify Your Writing "Rocks" Move beyond busywork to focus on what actually matters. You'll work to clarify your true priorities and set realistic writing goals for our 10 weeks together.
Assignment 2: Create Your Project Tree Work to transform that overwhelming manuscript into a clearer, more manageable roadmap that can help you know where to start.
Assignment 3: Build Your Barrier Toolkit Whether it's perfectionism, procrastination, or imposter syndrome, you'll work to identify your specific patterns and develop strategies that may help you work through them.
Assignment 4: Design Your Personal Focus System Explore what might work best for your brain, your schedule, and your life so you can work with your natural rhythms rather than against them.
Assignment 5: Plan for Sustainable Progress Develop systems designed to help keep you moving forward long after our time together ends.
